Entry: Don't forget Janklow Nov 17, 2003

Congressman Bill Janklow from South Dakota was charged with second-degree manslaughter, one count of failing to stop at a stop sign, one count of driving "at least" 71 mph in a 55 mph zone, and one count of reckless driving.  These charges were filed on August 29th, 2003.  If he is convicted he could face up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Who here wants to bet he's gotten away with a slap on the wrist and nothing more?

Regardless of the fact that he's a republican, he's still done a terrible thing.  He's taken a man's life because of his recklessness.  He should resign, but hasn't done so yet.  He should be charged and jailed, but I doubt it will ever happen.  Money can buy just about anything, including freedom.
