Entry: California debate Sep 25, 2003

The debate last night had to be most entertaining I've seen yet.  Arianna Huffington was the clown of the show.  She seemed determined to cut Arnold Schwarzenegger down any way she could.  Instead of answering the questions put to her she insisted on making comments about how he treats women and makes $20,000,000 violent movies.  Grow up Arianna, you don't get votes bybeating on your opponents.

Schwarzenegger made some very good points and talked a lot better than I thought he would.  I figured he'd be the clown of the show, but he pulled through and came up on top of a CNN poll on their site.  Asking who won the debate Schwarzenegger got first with 57% and Bustamante at second with 18%.

I, myself, began to side with Senator Tom McClintock.  Imagine that, a Democrat agreeing with a Republican.  Yes, weirder things have happened before and they'll likely happen again.  He made the most sense to me out of the entire group.  Especially on illegal immigrants.

Peter Camejo didn't make much sense to me.  He acted too much like Huffington and that got me to start ignoring him.

Cruz Bustamante made some sense to me, but I just didn't care for his comments except for one.  At one point Huffington was mummbling about something (I say this because I wasn't paying attention to her) and all Bustamante would say is, "yes Arianna, yes Arianana."  It was like he was saying, "we don't care.  Shut up or go away."
